On Tuesday June 13, 2017, Brian Long of Baron Environmental participated in the Somerville High School Athletic Hall of Fame 16th Annual Frank 'Nap' Torpey Golf Tournament at Neshanic Valley Golf Course. A special thanks should be noted to Tom Brown of Pace Environmental, who hosted the foursome, as well as Corey Hannahoe of Contec Systems and Phil Kuhl who completed the foursome.
All proceeds from the event go toward scholarships for Somerville High School scholar athletes.
The event which began at 12:00 Noon was spread across the mid-90 degree Fahrenheit afternoon, creating an atmosphere that mirrored the 2007 PGA Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma where the high temperature hit 102, as Tiger Woods won his 13th major.
Within the 4-man scramble team format, the Long, Brown, Hannahoe, & Kuhl foursome finished with a respective 5-under par, falling short of Woods' final leaderboard finish at 8-under that year.
